Climate Change
Did you know that the Earth's temperature has been increasing for over a century? People call this climate change, a crisis that has been affecting human nature for decades. In this essay I will explain the major causes of this situation, how it impacts the world and finally explore the possible solutions to restore sustainability for the future.
Human activities, such as burning fossil fuels, industrialization and deforestation are the main drivers of global warming. Every day cars and factories all consume resources such as coal, oil and gas, releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere which makes the planet warmer than before. The rise of temperature levels can permanently impact wildlife's habitat and diet. Beneath the waves, marine life is also experiencing problems like coral bleaching. In the meantime, far in the Arctic and Antarctica regions, huge chunks of ice are melting, which not only affects animals like penguins, seals and polar bears but also creates floods threatening coastal countries like Australia.
Despite the urgent situations, there are possible ways to address the crisis. Renewable energy sources, such as solar, hydro and wind power can reduce the amount of carbon dioxide production. Governments can implement laws and policies to mitigate the major issue. For example, the Australian government offers rebates to households with eco-friendly energy installations such as solar panels.
In conclusion, climate change has been a major issue for over a century, and it will become a disaster if no action is taken worldwide. It is time to work together and protect our planet for future generations. With the effort of each country, community and individual, people can make a significant difference in addressing climate and environmental challenges.
